I will remember November

Wow!! November is flying by, as is all of my time here...After I finished my analysis for my literature class I decided I was going to make the most out of my weekend. On Friday night I was pretty exhausted from not having sleep but I went with Megan to my friend Travis' house and we watched a movie in his movie theater and ordered pizza and popcorn and all that jazz. It was very mellow. We watched Made of Honor. That movie is fun-ny! i love it.

Then on Saturday I had to get to the pool/beach because I hadn't been for like 2 weeks! I know right its ridiculous! So I went for about 2 hours to come home, shower and then I went to a fiesta with my mexican friends. To my surprise it was on a "yacht"...I don't know if I consider it a yacht still but whatever...I didn't really know anyone except my mexican friends gina and nancy. We mostly just hung out with each other and some random people we met on the boat. The water was choppier than any time i have ever been on a boat...it got a little crazy, at one point the boat stopped and anyone with bathing suits jumped in the water (me not having one cuz i didn't know I was going to be on a boat, didn't get in) but the guy whose birthday it was, came and dumped a whole cooler full of ocean water on me so I was wet anyway. haha. it was quite amusing and fun.

Then I came showered and changed clothes like lighting and went to the Julieta Venegas concert which was really entertaining. It kinda sucked because the concert didn't start for 3 hours after the time they said it would, but its mexico so anything can happen. But once she got started I was really happy. She basically had every instrument possible on stage, I don't know if you can see it in the pics below but she had everything and she is also well known for playing the accordion. Serious business...
Sunday I went to the pool again and went for a long walk with my roomate because it is finally starting to cool a little bit at night and we can walk semi-comfortably. I also went to a new restaurant called Ernie Tomatoes which is probably the only restaurant here that has decent american like salads....

Last night I am convinced I aged about 10 years. I realized that I don't have mom and dad around anymore. I had to kill this huge monster of a bug all by myself last night. And yes, I did slam it with a gatorade bottle and screamed like a little girl. But i feel like this is a milestone in my life and everyone should be proud.

Today was school, and I was picked up bright and early by a new friend of mine named Carlos. It was a very pleasant surprise. Then I am going to eat, do some homework, and go to my community service. I think it will be another good day.

When don't you make the most of your weekends? :-) There is just more to do in Mexico than there is in the 505! haha.
Oh, and apparently I was talking about our make out spot in my sleep last night. I just thought you should know...lol.

Hello!
Well, it is almost time for you to return to the most dry place in America. How are you feeling about that having been by the beach for four months. Ha! Ha! Just kidding. We are all just jealous. Hope you are well, we miss you lots and will see you soooo soon. I am sure there is no Thanksgiving out there but Happy Thanksgiving anyway. Love you Your Auntie.
